Broadband in Gwynedd (Digital Gwynedd)
In today’s world connection to digital media is increasingly important to the lives of individuals and organisations in order to ensure access to services, leisure resources and to business opportunities in the global economy.
It is particularly relevant to rural areas where, in spite of the excellent quality of life, the provision of services has traditionally been more challenging and business opportunities have been restricted due to the distances from substantial markets. In order to ensure that full advantage is taken on the opportunities that the World Wide Web present, the need to ensure a high quality and up to date information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure is vitally important as is ensuring that people and businesses have the skills and knowledge required to make best use of the opportunities.
